Oh my stars, it's finally done! Two weeks and this darn thing is finally done! I almost can’t believe it. I had to do this ONLY in times when I’m in a bus because of lack of time. Uncoloured version here: Bioshock piece x Bunny & Alice.
For dearest Scorpio Freak, because without her I wouldn’t bothered colouring it. And re-editted. Not as much as I would like. There are a lot of faults- but the best I can do in a short amount of time. College is terrible and so is my boss- oh, and Winter Wonderland’s latest chapters!(what the hell do you mean by alice blackingoutholyhelldon’tdothistomedamnit)
So sorry you guys for being away from my tumblr for so long.
My new job as cashier for the local supermarket totally ate up my time and energy, and today is my first day off since I got the job!
The job is interesting, lots of quirky people (mostly because it's located across from the beer/wine store) and I'm picking up the system up very quickly.
I still don't understand a word about counting out the drawer.........
Kvilla - sickness, Winter Wonderland. Alice looks like the type that would have morning sickness like crazy. (This is me being subtle)
Kvilla - Sickness
Are you insenuating pregnancy? Eh, I’ll go with it! XD
Alice silently slipped out of bed, gently placing Jack’s hand back on his chest as she made her way to the bathroom, gently letting the door click shut behind her, before locking it. Moving over to the toilet, she gingerly knelt before it, gathering her long hair into her hand.
She didn’t have to wait long. Her stomach rebelled against her body, locking her muscles as it clenched against the sensation, causing her to gag and cough. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, and Jack’s voice called out to her. “Alice? Alice are you okay?” He asked, heavy with concern as his hand met the locked handle.
Alice sagged as the nausea passed, the acrid bitter taste laid heavily across her tongue. She gasped for air, shaking slightly as Jack’s voice grew more concerned. “Alice? Alice is everything okay?” He asked, his voice sounding vaguely closer, likely having put his ear against to wood to better hear her response. She stood on weak legs, flushing the filth away before rinsing her mouth with water, trying to wash the bitter taste away.
"Alice. Alice talk to me." Jack begged.
She turned towards the door. “I’m alright Jack. I’m fine.” She assured, her voice sounding vaguely hoarse.
"No, you’re obviously not. Alice, let me in, please?” He asked, as silence greeted him.
Then…..
"Alright…" Alice said softly, and turned the lock on the door. Jack quickly stepped inside, still shirtless and wearing his worn trousers, looking at Alice in her favorite blue dress.
"Mind telling me what that was about?" He asked, looking at her in concern.
"I….I felt sick…." Alice admitted slowly, not meeting his eyes.
"Uh, yeah, I heard." Jack said, glancing towards the loo behind them. "Is something wrong? Did you eat or drink something-?"
Alice held up a hand. “I’ve not digested anything disagreeable with my constitution Jack, it wasn’t poison.”
Jack eased, but did not relax. “So, what was it? Why did you try and hide it?” He asked, stepping closer to her.
"I…"
"I mean, I thought we’ve passed the whole ‘I’ve got a big dangerous secret’ phase of our relationship." Jack said, with a laugh that didn’t quite reach his concerned eyes.
"I know…."
"But you just snuck off this morning, and you’re sick!"
"I am not sick. I just woke up feeling nauseous." Alice said in a defensive tone.
"What’s going on? What are you hiding?" He asked, grasping her arms.
"I’m not hiding anything. I’m just-" Her traitorous glance downwards gave her away.
Jack instinctively followed her gaze, and caught sight of the almost unnoticeable distended bump of her lower abdomen, her dress slightly tightened from the stretch.
Shocked blue eyes looked up to meet frightened green. “Alice….. you’re…?” Jack asked, staring at her in shock.
Suddenly green eyes welled with tears, and Alice gasped against the sting in her eyes, valiantly trying to fight back the tears. “Alice…? Alice, hey….” Jack said, pulling her against him, feeling a few drops hit his arm as Alice closed her eyes against the tears. “Alice, I’m not mad, it’s okay…”
“No it’s not….." She said, taking trembling, shaking breaths, clutching her lover like a lifeline.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked, turning is cheek against her head to look down at her.
"What if the child is like me? Wh-what if I can’t raise them to be good people? I can’t- I can’t raise a child! I can barely care for myself! They will hate me and -"
Jack hushed her cries, feeling her sob against his chest as she admitted her fears, her guilt about her own family’s deaths, her terrifying dreams of failing her own child, unable to protect or save them. “Alice, Alice you’re not going to do this on your own, okay? This is my child too. I’m not going anywhere.” Jack murmured, as Alice began to calm.
"You promise?" She asked, taking a steadying breath as she looked up at Jack, his eyes boring into hers. "I promise." He said, kissing her forehead lovingly.
I can't seem to find her page, the name changes a while back screwed everything up for me. As soon as I can find it, I shall link to her! Nova in her civilian attire, smiling to hold back the annoyance of interrupted errands.
