I bought a dozen Blu-rays from Kino Lorber's 2020 Shocktober sale. I decided to make this a regular Blu-ray haul video since I got my package the last week of November and being that we're in December now it just made sense.

In this haul, you'll find a good mix of Kino Lorber, Scorpion Releasing and Code Red titles of the Horror, Action, Blaxploitation and Comedy kind. Lots from the New World Pictures library.

It's a great buyer's guide for the current Kino Lorber sale (Winter Wonderland Sale) and for future Kino Lorber sales to come.

It was December of 2003. I was still working at Blockbuster at the time. One of the few benefits of working there was the free rentals and, more often than not, I’d rent the really bad ones. They were free so why not? I believe it was a Thursday and I was informed I won an on campus short play contest. I began calling all my friends, sending them e-mails to tell them. In order to celebrate, I put on one of the movies I had rented, “Shredder”. I received a call back from a girl I had called to tell the news, a girl that I liked. I explained that I was watching this as a celebration. She told me that we’d have go watch it when she got back, as the fall semester was coming to a close and she was going back home for the holidays. I remember being hopeful, happy and proud of myself. I haven’t spoken to this person in going on two years, another casualty of time and growing apart, but I’ll always remember that evening when things seemed as though they were going great.
