Tonight, the moon became a dusty orange-red comparable to that of Mars but lighter. This is because the moon passed directly in front of an 11.01 million year old star named Antares!

Some information about Antares; Antares is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius. It has the Bayer designation α Scorpii, which is Latinised to Alpha Scorpii. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by σ Scorpii and τ Scorpii near the center of the constellation.

An update from 2 hours later; it's brighter but unfortunately doesn't look so in pictures but I assure you, the colors have become brighter!
