Tonight I played the legendary Royal Dornoch for the first time ⛳️ This is a famous golf course which is regularly ranked in the world top 10. My round was what I’ll call super twilight, starting at 6pm and featuring a race against time to get home before dark and also beat the cruel rainstorms which battered the links on and off! ☔️⛈ The course itself was in great condition, yet the greens had some brutal shaved drop offs deep enough to terrify the very best! The views were beautiful, despite the weather, and the links was actually rather playable, with wide fairways, huge greens and fair rather than penal rough. All in all a great experience, even if it was very late late, after prevaricating all day.
