Blake hadn’t been very receptive to Scott’s announcement of his engagement to Dani when he’d arrived at Vice, and the pseudo-argument fueled by alcohol had left Scott feeling uneasy, and, frankly, miserable. He loved Dani, but now as their relationship seemed to hang in the balance, Scott desperately wanted his friend. Scott arrived at Blake’s with a six pack of beer (as Scott really never drank much and the next day was a work-day as it stood), he hoped that he and Blake could bury the hatchet and Scott could drink away his sorrows with someone who might be sympathetic. He gave a solid knock against the door of Blake’s cabin, the yowls of Hudson signaling that he was likely about.
