Letting down your guard
Liane Cartman was out at work, had been for hours, would be for hours. Sometimes it felt like she never came home, which suited Eric just fine. He liked his privacy, his time to relax where no one would get on his case for eating and watching tv and making asshole comments at what was on. Just him.
Eric was layed out on the couch, relaxed and unsuspecting, in comfortable flannel pajamas and a plate of cookies resting on his belly as he flipped through the channels, looking for something decent to watch. That could be the only problem sometimes. So many channels, not a damn thing on. God damn it he needed to get mom to get the better cable package. Fuck.
It seemed Eric drifted off, because when he came to, his cookies were on the floor, and it was already two in the morning. Mom still wasn't home. The television had turned itsself off from its power saving capabilities (Such bullcrap) and everything was quiet.
A quick trip to drop off the cookies in the garbage and Eric was stretching and ready to head upstairs to bed, ready to crawl into bed, unsuspecting and feeling safe.
