🍾THAT NIGHT🚬
wdym people ship cartman and scott.
people are shipping... the man and his half-brother... the same man who made said half-brother EAT HIS OWN PARENTS.
I think people are really missing out when doing Tenormancest because everyone just makes Scott dominate/force/abuse Eric because he's crazy or just being a jerk in general and Eric being entirely a helpless victim.
When it would be way more interesting to have Eric manipulate Scott into doing heinous things just to see him squirm. Mostly using his seduction to bend Scott to his will knowing that such thing makes Scott feel even worse for needing him like that.
I've been thinking about them so much
so i was watching Rick and Morty and i got a notification saying you posted on ao3 after a couple of months. im just asking, why tenormancest? what is so special about this particular ship that makes it endearing?
Well, it's... A lot of things, I'm not sure where to start. It's mostly because they're so horrible to each other, because they hate each other so much. They're so different from a lot of other ships where you'd expect the characters involved to care about each other or to love the each other, and Eric and Scott couldn't be any further detached from that so they give the shipper a completely new experience.
Canon leaves a lot of questions about them unanswered too, so I feel like you can never really get bored with them. There's almost always something new about them to ponder on. Their hatred for each other, their fights, their attempts to torment each other, their reactions when they might be forced to co-exist together, etc.
They also make for a ship that can use humor well, in my opinion, and that's something I appreciate, even more so since their source material is a comedy.
At the end of the day, they're just very compelling and unique characters as well, both of them, so usually when you combine 2 interesting characters together you get a pretty interesting ship.
Thank you for the question, Anon! Hope I explained it well and that the answer has you covered! :)
