On Monday at 2:43pm the Loma Fire started at the Loma Prieta peak near the radio towers in Morgan Hill. That fire has now grown to 4,313 acres as of 11:00am today. Later Monday evening a second completely unrelated fire started near Lockhart Gultch Road in Scotts Valley. It was completely extinguished by the next morning at 5:30am and only grew to 9 acres. Tuesday morning around 9:00am a third fire was called in by two Roaring Camp employees located in Henry Cowell State Park in Felton.
