Voters approved a constitutional amendment to allow for the Congressional map to be gerrymandered in April, as a response to Republicans doing the same in other states. The court did so on narrow, technical grounds.
Since the Voting Rights Act was gutted by SCOTUS, Republicans have gone further — removing two additional majority-black districts in Florida and one in Tennessee.
