A mysterious girl who appeared when Kirino Ranmaru dissappeared. Claiming to be his younger sister and telling her brother had dissappeared, she sets into a journey with Shindou Takuto and Kishibe Taiga. As of now, nothing else is known of this girl.

At the young age of 4 years, Ran lost her family in a conflagration. She also lost her life. Upon waking up she had been brought to Botany, revived by a transplantation, and suffered from amnesia. She was eventually introduced as Kirino Ran, Kirino Ranmaru’s twin sister, being officially adopted by Kirino Satoru. Like her donor, she had 5 CCD’s planted to her body and had Kirino become her first divide. Much like Kirino, Ran proved to have strong powers, manifesting at the age of two. She was kept as a guinea pig and lived in isolation from the rest of the children. Her mental and physical strengths were pushed to limits on daily basics and the treatment she received was even worse than her brothers. Due to her “special” treatment she was despised by her fellow beakers for being their fathers favorite. Ran eventually befriended with trustworthy people, but the only person she was to seek out for when in trouble was Zangeki Sato. Locked up in Botany, Ran was rarely even allowed to attend to school like normal student. Because of this, she was devastated when she learned that Sato and Kirino were allowed to attend to school outside of Botany. She was left completely alone. When she learned about Kirino’s disappearance, Ran didn’t hesitate to go search for him. She had no idea what kind of conclusion this simple runaway would have.

☄️ Ran suffers from nyctophobia and claustrophobia.
☄️ Ran is the only character in the story who had her whole identity changed, while her name was known. Okazaki Airi only prefers to be called Zangeki Sato and no one knows Beta’s real name. Ran’s real name is eventually revealed to everyone.
☄️ Ran has the total of three love interested over the series, which is the biggest number out of all characters. Her first most notable crush is Shindou Takuto. While she first sees him as helpless case, the girl eventually warms up to his after noticing his determination and improvement. Her second crush is revealed to be Kirino Ranmaru, her own brother, who turns out to be her cousin. Ran often commented, she would totally crush on Kirino, had he not been born as her brother – and even then, their relationship seems to be more complicated than that of normal siblings. Despite Kishibe being her third crush, Ran eventually admits that her feelings towards are “true love” while what she felt towards Shindou and Kirino was “puppy love”.
☄️ Even after finding out the truth about her past and her real name is revealed to her, Ran decides to stick to her clone name. She had lived with it for almost fifteen years after all.
☄️ By dyeing her hair pink and using blue contact lenses Ran looks the perfect copy of Kirino Ranmaru.
☄️ Despite being a blazing user, Ran rarely uses her powers. She has always fought alongside Kirino being his beaker. Ran is extremely powerful utsushu, being the strongest second year female utsushu, but she has extreme hatred for her powers and had vowed to never use them. Ran’s powers have the tendency to go rampage whenever she’s enraged.
