Maybe a nice boat trip is part of your Spring Break plans! The men in this photograph certainly seem to be having a good time.

A scow with men and supplies in Dyea harbor, Alaska. 1897.
The “Niagara Scow” is the unofficial name for a scow shipwreck located 766m from the lip of Horseshoe Falls, on the Niagara River. In 1918, two men were dredging sandbanks when their scow broke away from the tugboat and began drifting downstream. The scow came to rest on a rock shoal, and the crewmen were rescued in a daring effort from the Niagara Falls (Ontario) Fire Department and the US Coast Guard, involving a grappling gun and a life line. The men were rescued after 17 hours. The scow is still quite visible from the Canadian side of the Niagara River, but the deterioration to the vessel is rather pronounced. Some day, I’m sure, it will break free and go over the Falls. What a site to see that day!
Mei short was amazing, but feel a little sorry for Reyes. All the media seems to be on his person now.
