National Parks being understaffed likely included the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. People are worried about the government un-protecting national park lands, and I don't even want to think about what the government would do if TMFP stopped being protected.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4420 is allowed into any non anomalous spaces of level 1 security clearance, as long as it is accompanied by at least one staff member of security clearance level 2 is also present. SCP-4420 is far too inoffensive to cause any significant damage, and thus can freely roam within facility 22.
Description: SCP-4420 is a seemingly non anomalous husky domestic rat with black and white fur coating its body. It’s only anomalous trait is having the ability to speak fluent English, and the intellect comparable to that of an average human being.
SCP-4420 can be mischievous, but never malicious. It enjoys small treats such as berries and nuts, and is prone to casual conversation with foundation staff. It despises being ignored, and denies being a rat, saying it is a mouse instead - even though DNA tests having proved it is, in fact, a rat.

SCP-1527
Object class: Keter
Currently kept in Site [REDACTED]
Containment Area:
SCP-1527 is to be kept within standard containment. It must be guarded at all times. It is to be provided with sufficient materials for drawing and writing. Furniture requests are to be granted at the discretion of high ranking personnel, most notably the ones in charge of its experiments.
Colored art supplies of any kind are prohibited. They may only be given under strict surveillance, or for the sake of an experiment.
Any personnel found aiding it in acquiring colored materials must be demoted or otherwise punished.
Clearance Level:
Clearance level 3 is required to interact with SCP-1527.
Abnormal Property:
SCP-1527’s artwork and written poetry have differing effects when viewed, ranging from death to healing. These are only present in colored work, and as such it has been allowed black and white sketching material. The effects are strongest when the target is known well, especially in the case of a named target.
Spoken poetry has a similar, if dulled effect. More experimentation is needed on these aspects of SCP-1527.
SCP-1527 possesses the ability to shapeshift. It has two forms it shifts into, one more humanoid than the other.
In both forms it retains long, tufted ears, and an upturned nose/snout. It seems unable to shift at will, and calls these shifts an ascension to its true form.
SCO-1527 is by default in a humanoid form, and it’s shifts seem to be triggered by severe bodily trauma.
Behavior:
SCP-1527 is erratic and unpredictable, switching from violence to comfort to polite conversation in an instant. When confronted with an unknown staff member it’s first reaction tends towards curiosity.
If it decides something or someone is a danger to itself or to fellow SCPs it will attempt to hunt it down. It listens only to Dr. Graves. (Addendum: it seems fond of Dr. Bright as a fellow “Harbinger of Chaos”.)
It speaks in poetic verse when in a state of hyperactivity, joy, or distress. It goes by its identification number, though it also uses she/her pronouns.
Testing will be needed to see the effect its own name has, as soon as its name has been found.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-636 cannot be contained, only prevented from causing further damage. The special mobile task force “The Star Gazers” are required to be alert at all times, tracking the SCP’s position constantly as to not cause further damage.
Description: SCP-636 is an anomalous star located between the Ursa Major and Camelopardus constellations, though its precise position tends to change at least once a month. It glows with bright white light and stands out in the night sky due to its strange heart shape, which is impossible for regular stars.
Scientists have tried observing said SCP with high tech telescopes, with no results. It seems observation of SCP-636 is impossible due to a memetic effect that causes the star to always look the same size, no matter the distance between the observed and the SCP in question.
SCP-636′s main anomalous trait comes from an info hazard type effect targeting any living creature that looks directly to the celestial body for longer than a minute. Prolonged exposure to the SCP’s presence causes the observer’s heart to palpitate in irregular intervals, similar to heart arrhythmia, a serious heart disease, and the resulting clogging of blood vessels may cause death.
During an autopsy of a D-Class personnel affected by SCP-636′s effects, it was noted the heart seems to be devoid of any blood at all, almost as if it was dried or withered.
Amnestic drugs seem to be effective countering SCP-636′s deadly effects, returning heart rates to normal almost immediately after the removal of the SCP’s memories.
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-3781 is to be contained in its cell, a 4m x 4m x 4m room imitating a college dorm room, and is to be provided with easy to cook noodles every few hours, based on its behavior. SCP-3781′s room must contain the following components as to keep SCP-3781′s erratic behavior at bay:
- A medium screen television with access to streaming services such as Netflix;
- A Nintendo Switch equipped with the games “Animal Crossing: New Horizons”, “Pokémon Sword and Shield” and whatever new games came out in the last 3 months;
- A digital drawing set including a laptop, drawing table and pen, and any necessary platforms SCP-3781 might request.
If said electronics are absent or non functional, they must be immediately removed and substituted with identical copies as to not cause stress on SCP-3781′s mental state. SCP-3781 is strictly forbidden from using any sort of social media website.
Description: SCP-3781 takes the appearance of a humanoid creature with green skin and a curiously shaped head. Due to mind altering effects surrounding SCP-3781′s vicinity, their head always seems to be perfectly rectangular, in a ratio of 16:9. Scientists are not sure what’s the use for said effect, though it has helped the foundation improve on it’s research on mind altering effects and the fairly safe nature of said SCP.
SCP-3781 presents seemingly erratic behavior, and prefers to stay isolated for the most part. After a large sum of experiments including SCP-3781, scientists came to the conclusion it was content being in confinement.
SCP-3781 does not require sleep, but seems to take great pleasure in doing so - even though it does not seem to sleep regularly. It spends the majority of their time moving around its containment cell, occasionally utilizing the permitted equipment within its cell.
SCP-3781′s main anomalous trait comes from its use of the drawing table and its appliances. By leaving a certain amount of money (preferably in the form of British pounds) and describing a preferred fictional character near SCP-3781′s vicinity will put it into a focus state, in which it will not rest until it has completed an accurate drawing described by your person, which is immediately sent to any electronic devices you possess.
After finishing this process, SCP-3781 will enter a hibernation state for the following 24 hours, after which it will continue its regular functions. It is not known how SCP-3781 is able to deliver archives from different archives without the access to the world wide web, though it seems to be related to its mind altering effects.
You, too, can contribute to the foundation’s research on SCP-3781′s anomalous effects by requesting similar drawings. Please access the following link and leave the appropriate amount of money to fund the SCP foundation!
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-188 is to be contained within site 98 and its confinements in Alaska. Special task forces are to be constantly vigilant of the subject, and research staff are to come once a day to have light hearted conversations with SCP-188.
Description: SCP-188 is a humanoid creature about 20ft tall. It has blue skin and its head bears a single, large eye. At the end of its enormous, elongated limbs, a pair of pincer-like appendages can be observed.
At first, SCP-188 was seen with water flowing over its head and pincers, though it seems the cold in site 98 has frozen said liquid into solid form. When questioned, SCP-188 seemed uncomfortable with its current state, saying it was “hard to move” and “annoyingly cold”.
SCP-188 main anomalous trait comes from its immense intellect and memetic effect. According to foundation records, SCP-188 has in intelligence above any human mind, and is willing to share through its preferred language - German.
Unfortunately, SCP-188′s other anomalous factor makes it impossible for foundation members to utilize SCP-188′s knowledge to the foundation’s favor - due to some sort of memetic effect, any knowledge coming from SCP-188′s immense repertoire is immediately forgotten as soon as conversation with the subject is completed.
Physical recordings of any information told by SCP-188 are also impossible to be created, as exiting conversation with the subject will turn any written or recorded material into unintelligible gibberish.
Though its anomalous effects work against the foundation, SCP-188 itself is very friendly towards foundation staff, and is pleased to share any pertinent information researchers might request, even if it means having them forget everything immediately afterwards.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-009 is to be contained within the boundaries of its native forest, located in the northern areas of Japan. The area has become a containment site on itself, and the forest must not be disturbed in any way.
Description: SCP-009 seems to be a humanoid shapeshifting creature of unknown origins, wearing a classic Japanese Kitsune mask and oversized robes, though it has been stated to take the form of a ghostly, nine-tailed fox.
SCP-009 seems to be docile, though it avoids contact with humans at all costs, and doesn’t seem to be able to be contained or moved outside the forest’s boundaries.
If any human attempts to hurt the forest in any way (such as cutting trees, hurting the native life or actively spending unnecessary resources), SCP-009 will enter a rage state, which will only end when the “offender” is either dead or outside the forest’s boundaries.
During its rage state, SCP-009 will create ghastly blue flames that doesn’t seem to cause any physical damage to its surroundings (which includes animals, plants and even the soil itself). Instead, it can only burn forest offenders, which described the flames as “cold and extremely painful”, coming with heavy frostbite around their limbs and clear signs of hypothermia.
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-888 is to be kept in a locker, with only security personnel of level 2 clearance or higher given the combination. They are currently contained in a dark wooden pedestal, covered by a glass dome.
Any sentient being that comes in contact with SCP-888's content is to be immediately terminated.
Description: SCP-888 is a book seemingly made out of organic, living material. It’s cover seems to be composed of a hard, bone-like material, it’s pages have the cellular structure of human skin, and the bright red ink used to write it seems to be animal blood. The words written inside the book are all gibberish, and the foundation has decided it was fruitless to try and decipher it.
The real danger from SCP-888 appears whenever a sentient being decides to read the book. There will be no adverse effects at first, other than small migraines. Test subjects have shown discomfort reading the illegible words written in the book, though this does not seem to be part of its anomalous traits.
About 6 hours after the original contact with the book, test subjects start losing part of their cognitive abilities. Their speech becomes harder to understand, and their reflexes seem to be reduced. 12 hours after being exposed, these effects reach its fullest, causing subjects to speak in gibberish and flail their bodies in confusion.
24 hours after the first contact with SCP-888, two pairs of arms sprout from the back of the subject’s neck, causing them great pain. One pair of arms will cover the subject’s mouth and nose, while the other pair will crush the subject’s throat, suffocating them to death.
