Been reading the SCP Wiki lately. I feel like SCP weirdness has in recent series gravitated towards Fallen London-esque weirdness (lots of making wordplay literal and getting very abstract), maybe because of an overlap in source materials (e.g. Borges), maybe because of an overlap in fandoms, maybe because projects like the SCP Wiki and FL just tend to gravitate in that kind of direction.

For a specific example, Null Sum is basically "The Foundation vs Stewards of the Discordance".
