Did I ever tell you how lucky I am? I married a guy who likes art. And me. And we made this together. I threw the bell. He drew the monsters. We are planning on releasing a series of these (maybe more mermaids and witches than monsters but we'll see) just as soon as we finish up some of our other projects. It's the first time we've ever collaborated on any art and for some reason it cracks me up that we made this together. 😂 Our styles are so different, he's way more serious than I. I'm more of a plop, shift, smudge and there it is type. He's more of a plan, nudge, scoot, wipe, change it completely, nudge, dab dab, nudge, maybe it's done type. He's clean lines. I'm all texture. He's black white and grey. I'm blues and purples and greens. Making fluff in a material like wood is challenging, so the direction changed to somethjng more mythical. Wood was hard maple, which was great for the detail.
