What I've been gluing lately. Scraps in a half composition notebook.

The scraps are leftovers from various projects I've worked on this year...masterboards, journals, Cut+Paste+July. I usually make a bin of papers when I start a project that's going to take awhile. Then I have bins I don't want to clean out when I'm done. 😏 So I'm gluing the bits and pieces here and whatever's leftover after that, who knows.

i set aside a specific sketchbook awhile ago to use solely for scrap collages - collages i try to make exclusively using bits of paper id usually throw out after im done with a project. offcuts from trimming magazine pages, bits that didnt make it into a collage zine, etc. instead of keeping a trash can near me, i have a bowl on my desk where i put my scraps, and when im done with a project i go through it and try to use as many of them as possible in quick little collages. its a great warmup for bigger collages, and my art generates less trash! win win.

The half sized composition notebook I've been making scrap collages in for the past month is done!

When I prepped this notebook, I took out probably half of the pages...and by the time I was nearing the end, I glued a handful more down. The urge to move on was getting too much! 😆 It ended up not too fat, but I did attach a band (borrowed from another journal) to keep the cover closed.
