UP for elites
I know. I know that there is a part of the Philippine Constitution stating that University of the Philippines is the National University and the Government must pursue the saying "education for all".
I know. I know that as the times goes by, the term for UP students, "iskolar ng bayan", is not deserving for us. Look what is happening right now. A freshman from one of the campuses of UP chose to stay in the arms of our Lord because the UP Admin forced her file Leave of Absence, which is according to them, this policy is supported by papers. But, WHAT THE HELL! It's like there is a discrimination on lower class who cannot pay the full tuition fee during the enrolment. It is true that UP nowadays, is like exclusively only for elites who can pay fees.
I know. I know that there is so-called STFAP or Socialized Tuition Fees Assistance Program that suggests bracketing assignment to the students, higher tuition fees for those who have high annual family salary, and vice versa. Naah! I don't think that this is socialized.
WHATEVER STUFF IS IN THE HISTORY OF THIS $£%^$%^£$ POLICY, I know. I know that everybody wants CHANGES in this $%$^&£$£.
