What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?Ray’s mother was a very sweet, and yet very bold woman. She was the first to step up to help someone and always seemed to know how to make someone feel better. But she was also very firm of who she was and wasn’t one to be pushed around.
What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like? Ray’s father was a somewhat quiet man. He was an excellent listener and was very good at remembering small details. He was an excellent doctor, often going the extra mile to ensure that he was providing his patients with the best care possible.
Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?Seeing the library ghost for the first time absolutely fundamentally changed Ray. Suddenly, everyone who had ever thought him crazy or he was wasting his time on absolute nonsense was wrong. He finally had solid evidence of something he had always believed, and that gave him an incredible amount of confidence in his work.

▲ Of the two of you, who is more mature, you or your muse?
//At times, I think this one depends. But at the same time, probably Ray if only due to the fact that I’m at least a good 12 years younger than him.
⊕ whichever you want
Send me a ⊕ for an aesthetic graphic for our muses.
I couldn’t choose, so I did both.
☢: Something about my character that I've never explored but want to, ❅: A character I'm tempted to play, ✔: What got me into roleplaying
Send me some symbols
☢ - Back when I first started roleplaying as the Sirens, I played Ligeia pretty much the same as I do with Leucosia now. But since I’ve changed a lot of things about them, I turned Ligeia into more of a tragic character. I really wanna explore her arc more. Her trying to break away from Leucosia and be her own person as well as cope with all the abuse she’s suffered at the hands of her sister.
❅ - Tough call. I have a lot of muses that I really wanna roleplay but won’t for one reason or another. But I went through my old Clint Barton blog and got all nostalgic so I’m definitely tempted to play him again.
✔ - I just sorta fell into it. When I first started, it was for a very poorly written OC that I have long since gotten rid of so I don’t really count it. After that, I got bit by the roleplaying bug and took on Peter Vincent from the Fright Night. The rest is history.
"What is that? Are there bandages under your shirt?" -worldofthepsychic
Kevin was the middle of grabbing a glass on one of the higher shelves for Peter when his shirt lifted up a little revealing the bandage, “Yeah, I was probably being a little dramatic using a bandage on the cut but I’m fine. How I got it was my fault anyway. None of my laundry was done so I was walking around shirtless and playing with the animals and one them jumped on my back and cut it”
🙋 + Vigo the Carpathian. And the cat. Why not? -worldofthepsychic
Vigo the CarpathianThough he’s for the most part recovered and come to terms with his brief possession, Ray is still a little uneasy when it comes to talking about exactly what he went through with Vigo. Though he only possessed Ray physically for a very short time, Vigo was still in his head for a long while, whispering into his thoughts and effecting his moods and actions. He offered Ray knowledge, a vast understanding of the supernatural and the occult unlike any other man had had before. He preyed upon Ray’s curiosity and passion for his work, and also his fear of being thought insane. Sometimes his influences were a lot more visible on the outside, like when he caused Ray to become violent while driving, but other times it was quietly proposing questions and ‘what if’ scenarios in Ray’s mind. Vigo’s plan, had he been successful in returning, was to control Ray and use his knowledge and technology both to destroy the other Ghostbusters and to strike fear into the spectral world as well.
Vigo the CATpathianRay likes Vigo the cat a lot, though he has yet to fully figure out just how the cat feels about him. Some days when Peter isn’t available, Vigo will jump on Ray’s lap and will be contented to lay there for hours, purring happily or will follow Ray around the house, wanting petted. Other days, he will not let Ray near him. Vigo also has the habit of waking Ray up by biting his ears, which Ray swears Peter had to have taught him to do. Never the less, he’s happy to have Vigo around and is guilty of buying him treats and toys more than he probably should. :)

Sexuality and/or romanticism headcanon
Ray takes things reasonably slow when it comes to actual romantic relationships. He really wants to know the other person, and needs to to feel romantic feelings for them. He loves people so strongly in a platonic way and so it takes time and a deeper sort of relationship for him to have romantic feelings for someone, and so he doesn’t really rush relationships.
"This shouldn't work but it does" headcanon
Reflecting on the dynamics of the team and his relationships with the other guys makes Ray laugh, because they really shouldn’t work, but they do. Egon is rather serious about his work and thinks using logic more often than emotion while Ray is a lot more light-hearted with his work and tends to lean more toward emotion and yet they work perfectly in sync. Peter is a natural charmer who found better things to do than study while in school while Ray tends to be more nervous in unknown situations and spent a lot of time studying and yet the two became fast and dear friends. Winston is religious and focused in a fight where Ray is an occultist and tends to sometimes get distracted and yet the two of them are so perfectly at ease and fine with each other. Things shouldn’t work, but they do and it makes Ray so ridiculously happy.
Body image/self esteem headcanon
The person who often leads Ray to believe more in himself and his abilities the most is actually Peter, though he does so in such a casual way. Whether it’s teasing Ray about the whole “Get her!” encounter or getting him to think about things on a bigger and grander scale, Peter is really good at getting Ray to think better of himself without letting Ray know that he’s doing it.
