Alright y’all, here is my first piece for the @supercorpbb! It’s titled With No Silver Linings (Life is Only What We Make of It), and it is a bit of an emotional train wreck. I got to craft my little nightmare world with inspiration from @foxfire141 and this wonderful piece!
Summary: In a world where aliens have been stripped of citizenship, Kara grapples with the choices she has made and the temptation to look backward instead of forward.
Warnings: it is heavy, being set in a very bleak dystopian world. There is some tender smut at the very end, and it’s my little gift for all your suffering (but I suppose you could read the piece without it, if you wanted).
Big Project Reveal: SC Reverse Big Bang 2021
Hello everyone! I've been teasing a big project that's consumed most of my creative energy the past few months, and I'm very pleased to finally announce that this year I elected to participate in the Supercorp Reverse Big Bang (@supercorpbb)! I was paired with the lovely and talented @vbprodz (creative_clouds on ao3), who produced this beautiful scene for me to play with:
Luckily we both had the same thought: the previously-mentioned-yet-never-done-anything-with LadyHawk AU!
This has been an idea I've wanted to do for a long time, but could never find the momentum to get started, because it was such a big story and had such big shoes to fill. Luckily, vbprodz has been a delight to work with, and we were able to spitball and brainstorm our collective thoughts on the project and came up with something I really love.
Until Time is Undone is our take on the LadyHawk story featuring Lena has the battle hardened Captain of Guard, and Kara as the gentle lady of Krypton with whom she falls in love. For their love, they are cursed by Kara's spurned Match, Dol'or, to transform at sundown and sunrise, so that they are never human at the same time-- forever together, eternally apart. Will their love persist? Or will Dol'or's hunters find them before they are able to see each other again?
