Chilean Rapturous Screamgaze
"What's it like to have just discovered an awesome band that disbanded few days ago?" Awefully, but I let understand by yourselves with the help of a gorgeous band from Santiago called Caminos (is the name a coincidence?). Their peculiarity, especially in their magnificient last ep Anhedonia, was to melt in a single style the momentum of spanish screamo and the elegance of shoegaze and post-rock, avoiding clichés and mannerist monotony. For doing so, it's necessary an undeniable great dose of taste and talent, that except for a lucky narrow audience in South America, no one will never ever experience again. The only consolation left is in their records, which, from first to last, are pure hardcore jems that no one can keep from playing in loop in my speakers. This one song is the last one of their last release, and I think that its last words - that somehow I suppose describe criptically the reason for the band break up - will haunt me for a long time:
Another bitter drink, and tonight I won't sleep
