Frank x Joey Headcanons

their relationship started as part of a "job" they were assigned. they had to pretend to be a couple, but as the charade went on for more than just a few days, they started to realize just how compatible they could be together.

they're actually very much alike, so they butt-heads ALL. THE. TIME. Frank has more resentment, whereas Joey has more regret, which leads Frank to seem more aggressive, arrogant, and asshole-ish. Joey finds it hard to see herself as a "good person" but compared to Frank, she is lmfao.

they understand each other on a deep, personal and emotional level, due to their backgrounds, so that connection is what carries their relationship.

when they call each other's names it's never a chill, relaxed response. it's always shouting:

"Frank!" "WHAT?!"

"Joey!" "WHAT NOW?!"

they also do the "parent" thing with each other, where they don't respond after the "what?" - they will stay silent until the other physically goes to where they are. and then they're even more pissed.

their first kiss was Frank protecting Joey. they were between a rock and a hard place and had to be convincing:

Frank stood in front of Joey, his back to the crowd that judged their every move. They were outnumbered by far, and by the gangsters blood-soaked jackets, the smallest mistake would have them wearing it fresh. "Kiss me," he ordered. Shocked by the demand, Joey blinked at him, wide-eyed. "What?" Frank's heart was pounding so hard, he almost didn't hear her question him. But at the feeling of burning gazes and an indistinct whisper, he grabbed her and pulled her into him. They were locked at the lips. The alarming feeling of panic and shocked flooded through her simultaneously, however, Joey didn't pull away. Frank's head tilted to secure the kiss, and she followed him, closing her eyes as his arms slipped around her waist to corral her lower back. She kept her touch somewhere between light and convincing as she made herself embrace him as well. But enough was enough, when she broke away and found the posse over yonder accepting their "claim." Frank didn't seem too pleased with it either as he sighed with a flushed complexion. "What the fuck was that?" she hissed, subtly wiping her lips with her wrist. "That was saving our asses," he growled and left her to get back on track with the mission.

Frank steals and hides Joey's candy, and Joey steals and hides his glasses. they make fun of each other for it.

Frank's actually pretty good at cooking, so he'll make dinner. In return, Joey does the dishes.

when Joey got badly hurt, Frank managed to bring a calm and compassionate approach, trying to console her but telling her she's going to have to walk him through what to do. this is/was a big turning point in their relationship - it made Joey actually feel safe and comfortable with him.

they adopt a German Shepherd off the street that follows them around everywhere.

when Frank first met Caleb, he couldn't bring himself to talk to him, because of his guilt from leaving his own son. Joey was able to talk to him about it in a way that made him be able to deal with it.

acknowledgeable interaction between them (based off of the events in ABIGAIL:

FRANK: "I'm... sorry I bit you." JOEY: "No, you're not." FRANK: "I'm not."

i hope you enjoy these ScreamQueen! tbh this was harder than i thought, hence the constant explanations haha. i find it difficult to see these two in a romantic relationship, willingly, so i think having it play-out as going from pretending to reality was a reasonable approach 😅

Wolf! Frank & Joey Headcanons

!!! (these are NOT shipping headcanons. just ones of these two interacting because let's face it, they've definitely got an alpha complex going on haha)

as stated previously in this post, Frank is the alpha, but Joey is the alpha-female. this causes them to fight almost over everything. their tempers are short, so it doesn't take long for one to phase and strike and the other follows.

if these two fight, you'll need some sincere divine intervention. someone like Peter, Rickles, Lazar, or Lambert would be the most promising to break them apart.

Frank likes to test Joey, purposefully going around Abigail or Caleb to act as if he were hunting them.

Joey challenges Frank's authority out of her loathing his arrogance and ambition. she feels that he thinks he's entitled to the pack's business just because he's the alpha. (example from something i've been writing from my Abigail Werewolf AU):

Another trek across the travertine to the left side of the yard had her panting in trying to fight the heat. She hadn’t realized someone had come out, until she heard a distinguishable voice. “You mind tellin’ me why you’re out here wandering around like you can’t stand to be inside with the rest of us?” Frank. She was not in the mood to put up with his shit. She stopped on the grass but didn’t turn around to look at him. “Actually, I do.” Frank’s ears twitched, “Hmm.” Clearly, there was a problem. “So, something’s definitely wrong.” He caught her soft growl and the almost painful lower of her hips. “What’s got you all moody, Joey? Is it Shark Week?” She could’ve wished. But she knew that was a jab. “No,” she rolled her eyes and actually glanced over her shoulder. “I’m fine. I just wanna be alone, right now.” But the red wolf didn’t move, just tilted his head with a poor excuse for a pitied expression. “Oh, did we run out of candy again?” he teased. It was fake anyway. “No!” she snapped, baring her teeth in a warning as her hips lowered even more, but this time, it was more defensive, the fur on her hackles bristling in the sunlight. “Then, what?” he demanded, more serious now. “I told you. I want to be alone.” Now, Joey turned around to retrace her steps towards him. “You’re not the alpha of this pack, and you’re not the alpha of me. I don’t have to tell you shit, so back off,” she growled, thrusting her muzzle forward to make him pull back a little. The other’s eyes darkened as they narrowed, and a low growl rumbled in his throat. “You’re not my fuckin’ alpha either, so I suggest you watch your tone.” Her ears turned back, which led him to continue. “You won’t sit the fuck down and you’ve been whining all day.” There was a slight falter in her demeanor. “Oh, you think we haven’t noticed? Kinda hard not to when fuckin’ wolf telepathy is a thing.” By now, his own fur was rising, and his lips were starting to reveal more of his teeth.

i know no one asked for that, but i told you i would share some of my werewolf!au stuff 🤭

Frank is much easier to control as a wolf than a human. Joey is the opposite, she's more controllable as a human than a wolf.

because Frank's the "confirmed" alpha, it's his instinctive duty to check on all the pack members, even if it's subtly. he won't admit it, but he does trust Joey's instincts, both human and wolf, (which he also appreciates) so he tends to make his "check-in" on her more noticeable, likely engaging in conversation.

Joey's extremely smart and that irritates Frank.

they growl at each other just because. if Frank growls, Joey will growl back at him even if it wasn't directed towards her, and vise-versa.

they can never "play fight" without it turning into them trying to dominate each other. they just piss each other off xD.

Can u do werewolf Sam hc's with human Tara?

Werewolf!Sam & Tara HCs

Tara was more of a cat person, until she met Sam's werewolf. at first, she was fearful, but she could see Sam's face in her werewolf's. she's trusted her ever since.

Tara is the only one who can calm Sam down, when she gets too aggressive.

Sam will instinctively phase on anyone who looks or sounds threatening to Tara. this includes Chad, Mindy, and even Danny. She hurt Danny once, which caused them to not talk for a while, until Sam trusted herself enough to apologize and talk things out. she's very careful of her control or lack thereof when it comes to those she loves, outside of blood's bond.

Tara has made Sam a personalized food and water bowl for the days she stays a wolf.

Sam will sleep in wolf-form at the foot of Tara's bed, when she's feeling protective or clingy.

It's common for Tara to ride on Sam like a horse, especially when travelling in the woods.

Tara and Werewolf Sam are the icons of forehead touching.

Sam will hunt birds, reptiles, and rodents and innocently bring them to Tara as a present, but Tara can't accept a dead animal, especially one that creeps her out, and has Chad or Danny dispose of the body.

When Sam has domestic dog tendencies, like wanting to play, go outside, or attention, she will paw at Tara constantly.

Tara's favorite thing is when she asks Sam questions and Sam turns her head with the most intent expression on her face.
