People would see you draw in class, so you got labeled "the art kid." You were known as just that for a while, & it became ingrained into you, & now that's in your url. You've been cracking down on diversifying the shape and design of your characters, lately, due to all the designs that were once too similar. You're not just "the art kid," now. You have other interests, but art is a comfort, still. Previously labeled as somewhat childish, you embrace that label, now. It feels happier, that way.
