LOST finale spoilers under the cut because El and I are reading this Vulture article that came out Feb 25 2021 and screaming in real time and in the Losties Group Chat we’ve got going

Also what are the chances that an oral history retrospective on the Finale comes out THIS YEAR right after the two of us finish watching the series, me for my first time?

The problem with the LOST finale taking place in a church (there are many but I’m going to focus on the biggest one for me) is that, like the rest of season 6, it boils down a show allegedly about human connection and diversity and “living together or we die alone” into a sequence that is About Jack.

It’s About Jack, and if we take the bardo as, y’know, this big set up that will enable all of them to “move on” after they’re dead, then like... having the Church as the ultimate vehicle of that makes NO SENSE unless the bardo is actually about getting Jack to move on.

In which case it’s not actually about all of them collectively, it’s just about JACK. And I loathe the man and everything he stands for, as well as the fact that the narrative warped reality around him - it’s bad storytelling that undercut so much of the other central messaging, and it’s interesting to be reading these interviews and see like... the freaking directors and writers reacting to their own ending like “hmm yeah that didn’t work” or “well we just had to go ahead with what we’d written and not worry about how it was received--”

history time :3 staring- the little joys of life xD

THI S!! this... this makes me happy somehow(?) well u see, i was washing some clothes, basicaly dumping them in the washer xD and I remember that my favorite pjs/short i was wearing where dirty, i mean, i had used them 2 days stright for being sick, so i figured i should wash them up, and as i take them off and put a towel in my waist, i find that ... these where noT shorts, in fACT these whErE bOxErS aLL aLONG!! thEy HaV tHe little extRa fAbRic to mAkE tHem sLighLy bIggEr in fRonT?!? like, u kno, to put that xD and i was standing there like ‘’holy fucc.... !! i lov these even more now....’’ so yeah, i’m always fucking buying shet in the clothing fair, and i think my mom bought those thinking they where shorts xDDD
