What is the definition of an asshole Torchwood fan?
Just generally being an asshole within the Torchwood fandom.
There are many ways to be an asshole fan
I first started calling myself one about a month after I joined the Torchwood fandom and got annoyed at the fact that a large percentage of the fandom talks as if there is only one opinion to be had about Torchwood (Everything after season 2 sucks, Janto is the whole point of the show and Gwen is the worst character in all of existence and Ianto is the best). So for awhile I got frustrated and felt like there was no place in the fandom for me and started making dead Ianto jokes in retaliation. Not because I don't like Ianto, but because he's kind of the symbol of asshole Torchwood fans.
At which point I realized that my frustration with assholes had turned me into an asshole.
Which lead to my realization that Torchwood obsession makes you an asshole.
So I decided to embrace the fact that I am an asshole Torchwood fan, because I really like Torchwood and I can't help it, and I've come to embrace a lot of other assholes Torchwood fans because hey, we're all trapped on the same boat.
