So I was wondering, now that Jimin is older in bkya, how does the aggressiveness from his childhood manifest? i was glad to see us get a little glimpse of it in the last chapter when he got a bit emotionally overwhelmed. Does that happen at home too if he gets too emotional? Did he have a little angst phase like Jungkook where he sorta reverted into more aggressive tendencies? Or is all of that childhood stuff sorta buried and erased now that he's older? Thanks!
Jimin is definitely disposed to aggression, I suppose you could say? So, like, in preschool and elementary school, whenever Jimin would get in an argument with one of his brothers, it would usually lead to hitting or kicking or scratching. (Also he was definitely a biter; Hoseok once started crying because he thought Jimin took a full chunk out of his arm.)
But, like, Jin has always done his best to help Jimin break that habit. So it’s not like he went around hurting his brothers all the time; he was a good kid. Like he was super smiley and loving and cute. And he loved attention, and he was really thoughtful, and he put his little heart into gymnastics. Like he’s a genuine, loving, sweet kid. It was just when he was provoked that those more aggressive traits would come out.
I think right now in BKYA, he feels like he’s been pushed into a corner, and so he’s acting out. And while Jungkook’s acting out is screaming and insulting everyone, Jimin’s is punching car doors.
Because he knows -he knows- that it’s not okay to hurt other people, he’s not a little kid anymore. But sometimes it’s all too much and he has to hit something.
He hasn’t had an angsty phase, though. He’s a pretty positive kid and his life has definitely settled into something he really likes living.
