Below is an excerpt from chapter 2 of Dare Not Confess (Draft#1):

Suddenly, a heavy cloud blocked the moon. Darkness enveloped us. I quickly blinked my eyes. The wolves had disappeared. Had I imagined everything?
A mere product of a fearful mind fed by superstition? I hoped not. I needed my wits about me. What proved to be worse? Another case of brain fever. Or what just transpired be real?
