mistress of grief,   the tantalizing grip of destruction that so easily entangled with lithe limbs stretched out beneath lace and silk.   a mirror image of quiet devouring;   to split your mouth halfway open is to be devoured,    ricocheting betwixt chaos and carnage.    here,   she lays in ruin,    her body is not her own,   don’t you see?   the bite of her slickened tongue which sharpens itself in wait of victim,    the cut of her emeralds when gaze lifts and narrows.   she is imagery she’s painted herself.    her artist’s touch,   she molds herself to be what she thinks others will cherish.   desperation flourishing in her to carve addiction out of others;    adore me,   fear me,   obsess over me.    the subtlety of amused smirk twitches at the sides of her lips,    a canted head conveying vague sense of piqued interest at @scribde​’s proclamation.      ‟  he was nice?  ”     her scoff echoes forth,   arms crossed over her chest;    and as she grins,    something wicked this way comes.    sarcasm placates intonation,    teasing jest blooming from the centre of her chest.    ‟   the poor bastard had it coming then.   you know,   i would’ve thought you’d say something along the lines of    . . .     i stole his heart.    get it?  ”

THE  MOMENT  HE  SEES  HER  ,  HE  SURGES  FORWARD  ,  rushing  to  catch  her  .  there’s  no  hesitation  when  he  sees  the  blood  or  hears  the  painful  ,  scrambled  noises  she  makes  in  her  OBVIOUS  DESPERATION  .  sebastian  supports  her  with  his  body  ,  crouching  so  she  can  reach  ,  and  makes  quick  work  of  their  short  journey  to  a  chair  .  at  once  ,  wordless  ,  he’s  darting  for  first  aid  ,  rummaging  around  in  cabinets  and  closets  as  calloused  hands  pry  towels  ,  boxes  ,  gauze  from  upper  shelves  and  hidden  spaces  .  ❝  i’ll  take  care  of  it  ,  ❞  he  says  finally  ,  jogging  back  over  and  kneeling  beside  erin  in  the  chair  .  NO  OBJECTIONS  —  he  pushes  her  jacket  to  the  side  and  exposes  the  wound  in  her  arm  .  ❝  — —  christ  .  ❞  under  his  breath  ,  as  quiet  as  he  can  .  sebastian  has  done  all  kinds  of  repair  work  on  himself  (  considering  he’s  an  agent  of  secrecy  ,  the  hospital’s  never  a  good  place  to  go  )  ,  but  on  someone  else  ?  sebastian  feels  erin’s  forehead  with  the  back  of  his  hand  ,  checking  for  a  fever  ,  an  intensity  to  her  pain  or  sickness  .  ❝  just  stay  with  me  ,  ❞  he  insists  in  a  calm  tone  ,  flashing  her  a  soft  smile  .  ❝  lean  back  in  that  chair  and  take  a  few  deep  breaths  .  i’ll  have  you  right  as  rain  in  no  time  .  one  step  at  a  time  ,  yeah  ?  LET  ME  CLEAN  IT  UP  .  why  don’t  you  tell  me  —  tell  me  how  it  happened  .  fill  me  in  .  get  yourself  talking  and  stay  awake  for  me  ,  erin  .  it  shouldn’t  be  that  bad  ;  it  doesn’t  look  life-threatening  ,  but  cleaning  it  might  be  a  bitch  .  ❞

❛  08 .   a  kiss  in  secret  / a  dream  —  @scribde​

there  had  been  a  time  when  the  encroaching  green  spines  of  the  conifer  forest  looming  overhead,    casting  the  forest  floor  in  moving  shadows,    would  have  swelled  dread  in  magdalena's  lungs.    knowing  the  crunch  of  leaves  beneath  her  bare  feet  was  the  sum  of  a  dream  had  done  nothing  to  quell  the  fear,    for  she'd  been  raised  to  respect  the  power  of  what  was  brought  to  the  mind  under  the  darkness  of  slumber.    cautious  eyes  still  turn  to  the  treeline,    familiar  in  every  aspect,    a  mirror  of  a  month's  worth  of  this  same  picture  painted  in  front  of  her.    a  wolf  would  come  to  her  here,    large  but  docile,    beckoning  her  to  follow  and  she  would.    they  never  reached  their  destination  before  morning  consciousness  rooted  her  toward  waking.  

instead  of  the  expected  animal,    it  is  a  man  that  appears  through  the  foliage.    a  stranger  to  magdalena's  eyes,    but  more  than  familiar  to  her  senses.    they  step  closer  as  if  moved  by  some  invisible  force,    the  distance  between  them  shrinking  to  nothing  in  a  blink.    she  tilts  her  chin  up  as  he  looks  down  and  though  there  are  no  words  shared,    an  understanding  settles  a  comforting  weight  in  her  bones.    his  eyes  were  known  to  her,    searching  and  soulful,    a  gaze  she'd  been  under  before.    ❝  —  you,  ❞    is  all  she  manages,    a  breath  of  a  whisper  over  his  lips  as  she  presses  up  without  fear  to  claim  his  mouth  in  a  kiss.    the  protection  of  knowing  this  a  dream,  making  her  reckless  in  her  curiosity  as  she  surrenders  to  passion.    a  heavy  feeling  of  contentment  threading  her  veins.  

every  fraction  of  the  moment  is  committed  and  written  upon  her  memory,    the  press  of  his  lips,    the  taste  of  his  kiss,    and  there's  something  so  real  in  the  act  that  it  pits  a  notch  of  nerves  in  her  stomach.    it's  only  then  she  eases  back  to  stare  up  at  the  stranger,    the  forest  was  brightening,    light  beginning  to  wash  out  the  sky  and  drip  through  the  trees,    a  sign  to  mark  the  end  was  close.    soon  she  would  wake  alone,    even  more  confused  about  the  recurring  vision.    until  then  she'd  enjoy  just  one  more  kiss.
