abel shook his head, a chuckle escaping him. while the handkerchief was one he’d kept since his mortal days, it was an easy sacrifice to make for hollis. “no worries — a handkerchief is meant to be used. plus, i know some rather reliable methods when it comes to removing stains — including blood,” he reassured. he watched her as she tended to the bleeding, fangs threatening to expose themselves. it had been some time since he last fed considering it was something he tried to put off as much as possible since rumors of him being a vampire were still quite popular among the townsfolk. still, he attempted to keep his growing urges at bay as he offered an arm for hollis to hold as he made his way to the exit. “you needn’t wash it. i can take care of it,” he insisted as they stepped outside, the fresh air helping to alleviate some of the scent that was overwhelming abel. still, he could smell the blood even now. “i’m afraid i can’t stay long, hollis. i seem to be feeling rather unwell suddenly. but, i wish to stay with you as long as i am able,” he admitted, unable to look at her for the moment.
