How To Stop Smoking
Smoking has become quite the trend today. You can find smokers almost everywhere. I, personally, know quite a number of people who smoke. What I find weird though, is how some may be fine with admitting they smoke, but there are many who are ashamed of their smoking. I just ask myself, "why do they bother smoking if they are ashamed of it?" So, maybe a few tips on how to stop smoking may help.
1.) Fill your room with pictures of what smoking does to your lungs. Just make sure the pictures are very visible so you know and persuade yourself to see what you are doing to yourself.
ew, di ba? With this, you can gross yourself out with your smoking.
2.) If the first option grossed you out, this option will "inspire" you. Get a cigarette box but replace your cigarretes with pretzel sticks. If you don't like prezels you can try stik-o instead. Maybe you tried this when you were a kid, pretending to smoke using stik-o's. It can help you slowly replace your smoking with eating instead.
3.) Buy one box of cigarettes but wrap it in a thick roll of tape. With this, you would have to give in a lot of effort just to smoke one stick. You can condition yourself to just drop smoking if you would have to go through such lengths just for a stick.
4.) Have a friend to snap your cigarettes whenever you would smoke. It is another type of conditioning. If it always snaps, why bother? Sayang pera.
5.) Lastly, something quite cliche, think of your loved ones. You aren't the only one affected by your smoking. Sila rin. They worry when you smoke too because the effects of smoking is already known. So, you better think, what would my smoking do to them as well?
So there you have it. Tips to stop smoking. I do hope smokers would not be offended by this post. :)
