You were all I needed To hold my pieces in place I picked myself up in my hands And ate my sorrow right off my fingers Washed it down with a side of Loving you tall and to the brim Your hands reflected my shadows We're the same size you and I You were all that kept me close from Falling to the ground in the puddle Of the mess I never seemed to stop becoming Even in my anger You held my trembling fists Between your palms Like prayers unto the heavens And I watched as you called on angels To fly me out from beneath my darkness Accepting my wavering ways As I watched in wonder thinking How could I be loved like this? ..
