Ok, time to give your inbox a normal ask, lol. What would you say have been your favorite designs Sonic has had in the last near 35 years? And what would you do to give his current design a refresh if you were given the chance?
Sonic Dream Team:
This character model is damn-near perfection to me. I love his proportions, I love how expressive he is, I love that his mouth is mostly centered towards the front-most portion of his muzzle (except when he's doing his signature side-smirk, of course). He's got very lively eyes, they don't look dead like some character models do. I just ADORE him.
Sonic Boom:
When I first saw this design I freaked out about it because it was different, but then I got over the initial shock and quickly loved it. The bandana was a BRILLIANT MOVE and we're all FOOLS for not giving him one sooner! He's so scruffy! I love all the extra, messy quills. He's so TALL! Again, I love that his mouth is centered on the front of his muzzle. And the blue arms! I'm a fan of the blue arms! This design is not perfect in my book (the sports tape is too much and I missed his signature shoes) but I love that they tried something different and I think it paid off.
SCU!Sonic (from Sonic 3):
There isn't a single thing about this character model that I don't love. He's scruffy. He's skrunkly. He's still cute but he's losing his baby face that he had in the previous two movies and he's gotten taller and stockier. I love his eyes, they somehow managed to NOT make it look totally cartoonish but still so very distinctly alien, but also believable?! TBH if they redesigned Sonic with these eyes for everything, I personally wouldn't be mad about it. The ears oh my god. The ears are the best, I can't even handle it. I've said this in previous posts but I love that his spikes are very clearly just groupings of several quills, like locks. That was always my headcanon with Sonic's spikes anyway, so I was very happy seeing it in practice. I love how detailed he is, even little things like adding a bit of a concave to his chest where his sternum is. I also love the way that these aliens' limbs are designed: how their limbs actually widen the closer they get to the end of their extremities, instead of how humans' normally get thinner around the wrists and ankles. Everything is just so thoughtful and clever. Also: blue arms and front-muzzle mouth. Are. You. Sensing. A. Pattern. With. Me???

Really the only thing I would want to change about Sonic's design is to make him more scruffy, I'm a huge fan of that (if you couldn't tell from the above lol). It makes sense he's got a short pelt, it helps him be more aerodynamic. But I'd love to give him some prominent chest fluff at least!
