Anyway I love the Resident Evil novels and nobody can change my mind
Resident Evil: Underworld
Book cover study + remake (2024).
Was re-reading SD Perry’s novelisation of Code Veronica for fun, and um, Wesker is kinda frisky regarding Alexia. Like, he’s definitely chasing her way more than just a virus ‘sample’.
He’s literally trying to present himself as particularly virile. Good viral-enhanced stock.
All the while well aware she’s mentally 10 btw
Like Wesker is in heat and thirsty af, holy shit.
Also Alfred is screaming “DON’T FUCKING TOUCH MY SISTER” from beyond the grave.
Hell. Yes.
Some fun details about the characters from S.D. Perry's book on re1. Jill is checking their lockers.
Chris Redfield:
Is what is written in the Sd Perry books canon?
Anyone who is basically NOT CAPCOM is not creating any canon works.
This also means that the live action films are ALSO NOT CANON
they are in their own universes and nothing in them are canon stories within the re universe. And while some can have basis in the re canon. they are essentially fan projects in the most basic terms. they purchase the rights to use the characters, names and likeness and are legally permitted to use them in any way they see fit.
similarly, the netflix welcome to raccoon city movie is also not canon.
so what are in the books can have canon parts, but it is up to the reader to go and actually check to see what is canon or not within the re universe from capcom.
i'd air on the side of caution as i've read that a LOT of the story is not canon or even nonsensical as some characters that never meet in re universe somehow are able to in the books, and some characterizations are wildly different from their canon counterparts.
