It was a quiet moment. Nothing loud happening in the world around her, just a quiet walk down the quiet paths in a quiet park. The birds weren’t chirping, it was late! They were sleeping, why would they cheep if they were sleeping? The tree leaves rustled a little bit thanks to the wind, nature at its finest. The sound of running water was the loudest of any of the sounds thanks to the sprinklers in the middle of the pond. It was beautiful! Dottie was at peace with the quiet.
And then she outright shrieked, disturbing the natural- perfectly quiet- order of the world around her. “CAAAAM!” She got out through panicked breathes when she saw who it was. “Why- oh my stars, you really scared me!
