The way Fina still shrinks back when a man enters through this door into what used to be a home to her, but does not feel like it any longer (much as she may try).

Pelayo entered this space (and FIna was so angry with Marta over that); Santiago entered this space and nearly killed Marta before making Fina an accomplice to murder.

And now Damián, who once wanted to send her to Barcelona to stop her from seeing his daughter, welcomes her back as a daughter in her own right. It is very sweet. And it is genuine. And yet it is more about Damián at peace with himself than it is about Fina, who connects to him warmly, but is not at peace with herself.

And Damián repeating how much Marta has suffered, how much Marta loves her, how much he wants the two of them two be happy together, unknowingly adds to the sensation for Fina that she is expected to play a role, in a hierarchy she has outgrown but that reared up again the moment she nervously stepped back when Damián walked into the house.
