First day of the "Stacation" in the bag. Highlight of the day, attending the panel for Storm King Comics. The owner, Sandy King Carpenter, was the screen advisor for the movie Halloween & many other movies and is the spouse to the man, the myth, the legend, JC! No, not Jesus Christo, but none other than, John Carpenter (Halloween, The Fog, The Thing '82 version, Escape from New York & Big Trouble in Little China to name a few!) Just 10-years old & Storm King has differentiated itself by the fact, Mrs. King Carpenter mandates the artists of all skills sets, communicate / collaborate in order to not bring you a comic or graphic novel, but a pulp cinematic experience. Of course, the true Comic-Con experience lies in running into your friends who connect with you through the year. It was a pleasure to see Morgan Browning, Convention Center F&B extraordinaire as well as tee off golf Coach, Troy Sangalang. The building wallpaper isn't too shabby either! Come down this weekend my 1904 folks & revelle in our downtown Mardi Gras meets Halloween smack dab in the middle of summer! Happy Comic-Con everybody.
