Donate to build toy town!
Hello lovely members this year instead of a can town food drive we're going to have a toy drive! For the foster kids spending this holiday season in the Polansky center here in San Diego.
There are rules when donating anything such as it must be either new or gently used. This means, especially for toys and clothing. They're either fresh and new form the store, never been used, open or worn. Gently used is its been open, worn or used but it's still looks new and clean, this is especially for stuffed animals.
Below I have attached the Polansky center's "Wish List" for their kids, they have children from all age ranges from new born to teenagers. A lot of these kids are long time foster kids and so making this holiday season extra special with a new toy, new clothes, cd's, dvds and craft toys make the center a little more positive for them until they're placed in a home. For the new ones experiencing this sort of uprooting will really help them adjust and transition into this new setting. Not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can help a foster kid♥ with love lets make this awesome. please don't feel compelled to donate if you have the means, if you have some clutter to get rid of, whatever you can do to help thats all that matters. We'll also be bringing gift paper and some bags to wrap these presents in if you're unable to feel free t bring them and we'll play fancy santa's helpers!
