hey so just a little ask!! Or idea for the t1d swapdream timeline (specifically where Swad found the reader first). Future edit: hi, I actually just started to ramble... so sorry 😭 BUUUUT you have been promoted.. I will now come here regularly to spill my ideas and rambles. :3
I do loosely remember that in swad's version of the story, reader was forced to fight monsters in some ??? other dimension ??? in order to give Swan enough negativity to survive because swad's place is just overwhelmingly positive (..and not in a good way.)
But I do recall their LvL rising and wanted to give an idea.. maybe. Totally not me trying to convince you into writing reader beating swad's ass. Haha.. yeah totally not. Right guys. (Sweats.)
A human and monster soul can merge when one absorbs the other, creating a being of immense power. This typically requires a monster to absorb a deceased human soul, or, theoretically, a human to absorb a Boss Monster soul. (For this one we might need reader to absorb the Boss Monster Soul.) & when they come back once Swan has had enough negativity something is... off. The feeling of something being off is especially strong because reader is likely at a high level already + they immediately(?) get pulled out of whatever realm they were in.
^ i haven't played undertale in awhile but I'm unsure if humans can absorb souls of monsters. Let's just say a FATAL GLITCH happened... okay sorry but yeah let's just say it somehow happened due to a glitch.
Standing next to them gives a feeling of being on the verge of vomiting because of how intense the negativity radiating from them is, being across the room isn't much different only that it's more tolerable.
And, forgot to mention this way earlier but an idea for a human soul merging with a monsters soul i have is that; both of them are in control of the.. body, the body is whichever one had a higher level (although with some mutations and similarities to the other person). Now they aren't like literally taking turns in controlling it or having 50/50 control but sometimes they can have different views on things and it just ends up being sometime like this;
Reader: I disagree.
"Reader": wait- no, I agree.
Reader: (What the hell??) actually, nevermind. I disagree
"Reader": I said I AGREE.
Reader: ...NO I DO NOT.
And keeping it anonymous on if swad or swan know about the merge, reader either just sounds fucking crazy (and having to act like they're just changing their opinions really fast or indecisive)– or it's just hard to understand what they actually want or who's ACTUALLY talking.
Additionally, the soul will look much more different and reader is obviously much more powerful. So if a fight ever occurs (like reader maybe trying to kill Swad because the odds of winning are better) and Swad decides to pull some nasty move like grabbing their Soul he'd be.. suprised? Humans souls AREN'T supposed to look like that. Doesn't help that the Soul is sensitive so if Swad has murderous intent then that touch is going to the painful. Even more so considering the fact that it's going through the LITERAL core of their existence.
Okay I'm going to stop here (cliffhanger moment. Boohoo) because I'm really just rambling and yippity jippity yapping at this point bro 😭😭 fawkk... I lost the plot actually so to summarize it:

Goddamn that was a fic all in one ask (I'm saying this lovingly). And the answer is- yes. As shown in the Swan first timeline, Reader has managed to land hits on Swad, and the powers are identical on both sides. Will reader kick Swad's ass in the caged bird timeline. Oh definitely, I'm just working out the details lol
Also you should write! You have a lot of fun ideas and it would be fun to see you plot them out!
