Been writing something inspired by very recent horror movie that I don't want to spoil. I'm really, really interested in the idea of a beldam having deeply uncanny monstrous humanoid children.
Like how tf is must've been to carry those creatures and stuff, how they were when they were babies, caring for a small collection of terrifying beloved children alone in the woods for centuries, birthing them as orphans of other worlds... in my mind with my beldam i like to imagine she's just constantly pregnant, because the children take different times until they're ready to be birthed.
Maybe one is hardly inside of her for a week before she's forced to drag herself around with how enormous her belly has become, and it feels as if she's pushing out something the same size as her when her belly weakly seizes, the muscles pulled to their absolute extremes.
She can't even walk for some time afterwards, but because of her magic, and because the children share their undying nature with her, she recovers quickly enough, bones knitting back together, skin pulling taut before her belly fills again.
Another time she hardly notices any swelling before she's forced into a squat in the woods with her newest child, pushing and crawling out of her. The others are happy when their mother returns, even more so to see a new sibling clutched in her arm as she places her basket of supplies to the ground.
And more times, it can be hundreds of days and nights where she's carrying another one within her, soft movements in her drum tight torpedo, the redness of her belly's skin visible from the thin white fabric of her stained gown.
yes yes... I like this idea, i hope to post the story someday.
