I think about the intense things on the Sea strider most of the time but like. Consider: Bo and Duncan drawing in the air with magic because they want to chat without the rest of the crew understanding and they can see each other’s magic, even if it’s just moving the air a bit. Ruth making a little cloud to keep her in the shade when it’s really bright out. Red refusing to talk to strangers so Duncan goes out of his way to make sure he doesn’t get too uncomfortable. Davin and Bo jokingly harassing Dwynwyn, who acts upset, but all three of them know they’re just having a good time. Jon mussing Duncan’s hair after he does something cool, and Duncan getting this big proud grin. Dwyn and Red and Ruth having serious conversations in the middle of the night because everyone else is asleep and sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Bo over-salting someone’s food when they’ve been annoying all day. Just like, them living.
