YOUR MIND. like what if satan was the one who listened to your prayers this entire time? what if he’s been there? what if you saw the war he technically led? what if he hated you so much because he couldn’t have the love you did? and what if he begrudgingly also loves you? listens to you because he knows what you feel? what if corrupting you and turning you away from god’s sight ( so you can be just like him ) was how he loved? a spiteful love. a ‘remake you in my image’ love? heath please.

CRAZY to me that lucifer sort of adds some context to thomas' initial scene where he was like. CRYING when looking at jesus on the cross. the whole "i love you more than jesus" and he's unknowingly speaking to lucifer, lucifer who turns him away from god. like. clutching my head. shows him more than he should have scene, should have been able to see so that he loses his faith bc it's TOO much etc etc. AND THEN IS LIKE. COME TO ME! in the end. come HOME with me. INSANE. like i KNOW that's him just trying to 'lure' thomas away from his newfound faith and by extension, GOD, yet again, 'as the devil does' BUT UM !!!! IT MAKES ME WANT TO GNAW ON SOMETHING

they tried to do so much with this game instead of splitting the plot and handling ,one of it in the next game, i was excited to see so many charas but the plot felt very hollow at times. on one hand we have characters being treated with some nuance like : baraka , mileena , sindel , reptile , kenshi + johnny. however , , , at the cost of a lot of things. like why was kronika & shang the villains again? we have so many mortal kombat villains ( onaga would have been perfect ) like …….. 🧍🏽‍♀️😔 i’m scratching my head bc while there’s a lot of cool ideas in the story it’s ….. there’s something not quite whole about it? also hanzo as a kid harumi raised is blowing my mind here like whaahhahahahahaha

no i agree. LOVED baraka, sindel, johnny & kenshi, MILEENA, etc BUT IT honestly felt very .... marvel movie. i DO sort of get shang tsung coming back to be the villian bc it addresses the ability to end the game & rewrite the timeline in the last game AS shang tsung, which like. cool ig. but it also feels SO??? AVENGERS ASSEMBLE WHEN LIU KANG IS LIKE LEMME JUST GET ALL OF MY FRIENDS FROM ALL OF THE OTHER APPARENT TIMELINES (bc apparently This timelines shang tsung would have thought of it but Not liu kang's shang tsung. okay. sure buddy. that makes perfect sense when we also think about how he thought about hopping timelines to fuck everyone over anyway.) like i am LAUGHING. (also. can they stop saying the fucking word 'timeline' can someone do a compilation.)
