“ oh, i don’t have those yet, ” they admit, her delight fueling their own excitement. “ i can bring apples from my island, and i have some peaches and coconuts too if you don’t have those yet. ” sigma is collecting for an orchard near a sort of town square towards the center of their island, named sky island.

“My liege? Is somethin’ wrong?” He is confused but happy. He is not exactly good with sudden displays of affection, mainly because he tends to accidentally hurt people, but he is still excited and glad. He will awkwardly hug her back.

They really wish they had a cool witch hat to wear right now, but it’s just the Chaldea uniform and some hair clips.

Just about the same age that Manaka had been, she can’t help but note, and a part of Ayaka can’t help but wonder if this youngster was anywhere near as powerful as her precious baby sister had been. But the woman can’t help but shake those thoughts from her mind, she can’t exactly justify the comparison. Not when this fourteen-year-old is fighting for the salvation of humanity, making her braver than literally all of the rest of the damn world.

He follows after her anyways, because he has nothing better to do -- an absentminded fixation on finding work, not mentally present enough to realize she fears him. (Simply -- he wishes anything to concentrate on, by the time he catches up, he’s forgotten entirely how she reacted with the sharp skittering and wide-eyed alarm.)

But she has work, if she’s holing up with da Vinci, and he ambles to appear behind her once more. “I’ll help.”
