Baring your soul to the masses is not an easy thing to do. In fact it’s out right scary. Recently a US Navy SEAL was killed in combat while battling ISIS. ISIS conducted an assault on Peshmerga positions. Nearly a dozen suicide vehicles have attacked us so far and more are on their way. Mortar rounds with chemicals are beeing used. Enemy have broken through the front. Our neighbouring unit have abandoned their posts and left our right flank open. I've run over to man their positions on my own. Can see the enemy crossing the ditch and coming around on my side and back. SEAL Team Five’s Alpha Platoon slipped through the gate at COP Firecracker and plunged into streets. On this mission Adam had done what a lot of rookie NFL players do before their first game: they’ll overload themselves. In Adam’s case, he’d taken too much gear along. He was a jack- of- all- trades for Alpha Platoon, a sniper, a qualified and experienced breacher, as well as a combat medic. Each specialization required specialized gear, and on his first time out in all three roles, Adam tried to carry everything. “I didn’t want to look like a pussy,” he later recalled about the minimal amount of water he carried. “But I did have a Satanic amount of ammunition something like eleven or twelve magazines.” Adam probably lugged close to ninety pounds into the city that night. Marcus Luttrell, who was his team’s acting chief, checked on him. The two had been friends for years, and had come together in Team Five. "Another thousand yards and I’ll be ready to turn a gun on myself". They had to scale a wall. The SEALs climbed over it one at a time. When Adam hauled himself over it, all the extra weight caused him to lose his balance. He slipped and fell hard against his assault pack and the .300 Winchester Magnum rifle beneath it. "Fuck this Ninja shit." Adam set up his sniper hide in a building with a good vantage point. Right then, an explosion tore through the neighborhood. One of the Marine patrols had just taken an IED strike. Adam forced himself to relax. Brown Sweater( Insurgent ) secured the RPG and stuffed it under his clothes. Adam pulled through and felt the trigger break. The bullet struck Brown Sweater just above his heart, probably right in the breast bone. Another insurgent sprinted from the cover of an alleyway. He was going straight for Brown Sweater, AK- 47 in hand. He had courage to run after his downed comrade across an open street. Adam had him cold. He pulled the trigger. An instant later the bullet punched through the Muj’s right side. I'm so proud to know Ray Cralle, Marine Vietnam Vet, who's been helping people for the past 40+ years as a PT. Ray now specializes in Hyperbaric oxygen therapy #HBOT for Veterans struggling with Traumatic Brain injuries or TBI.
