The Firefly lane adaptation on Netflix is finally all out so obviously we had to talk about it!
First thing, yes Kate dying was sad - I mean I saw it coming but it's still pretty sad (I didn't fall for the fakeout where they try and convince us that Kate was still alive at Marah's wedding). I was specifically sad for Johnny, Tully, Marah, and Margie because losing Kate was devastating for them 💔
That being said......I'm still so anti Kate lmao. Her choices to cut Tully out of her life because of the car accident with Marah was absolutely Bullshit. She was petty and jealous of Tully her whole life and she was looking for anyway to punish her, idc idc idc
Also, it doesn't matter how hard the show tried; it's impossible to buy that Johnny was in love with Kate after season 1. It felt like he settled, plus they had no chemistry. On the other hand, Danny was very cute but he felt pretty forced in his introduction to the show and apparently being Tully's soulmate, I ship it it though!
I'm still mad that Sean basically didn't get any story even though there could have been such an awesome arc there if they chose to.
Basically, I enjoyed season (although part 2 was better than part 1) - also shout out to Sam Waverley for NOT grooming Tully hallelujah!!
Was it weird to anyone else that Johnny's dad randomly showed up as a priest ? And what was the point of Charlie/Lottie being an unnecessary threat to Kate and Johnny only to disappear? And why couldn't Mutt get a happy ending? Sigh.
