Playing errand boy for the NCR was frustrating, especially during moments like these. She wasn’t a detective -- she was just a mail man. They needed this informant found, and fast, if the reports about the incoming Legion attack were supposed to be believed.
"She's been missing since Friday and you're not worried?" She poses the question lightly. The Sergeant was a stranger to him, after all -- nothing but a client for whatever strange hocus pocus he was up to, “Anything you could tell me I’d be awful chuffed to hear, sir -- last person anyone saw ‘er talkin’ to was you.”

Eneko had admittedly been aware of it the first time he had visited Russo a year ago, that unsettling feeling that twisted his stomach into knots. Apparently it was a recurring thing, and now that he stood here again. It was that uncomfortable deja vu settling in as he followed behind the nurse, wrapping its cold arms around him and sinking its misty claws near his shoulders.
He had barely heard the nurse asking if he’d be all right, and barely heard his own insistence that he’d be fine. He was too busy bracing himself for the image that greeted him when the nurse opened the door and ushered him inside. The number of monitors and tubing still made his stomach twist; dis hospital beds always make people look so small...?
Eneko nearly had to go on autopilot to cross the room and sit in the chair set up next to him. “... hey.” Could Klaus even hear him? Eneko couldn’t say he ever dealt with someone who had overdosed before...
Some time between the late night and the late morning, a bouquet of flowers has made it in front of Carol's door. They look hand-picked, carefully, though not entirely consistently. A note in it was scrawled a little sloppily: "I'm sorry I'm a huge dick, I didn't mean it, you're great, Love 4"
Carol certainly didn’t feel great, and didn’t think he owed her flowers over telling her the truth. He could have delivered it a little kinder but that was besides the point.
Still...it meant something he’d picked her flowers and left a note.
So Carol dug out an old beer mug, and after some careful snipping, the flowers fit inside it. She kept the note beside them.

By now she knew that the doctors had given up on keeping her down. She had been caught on the way back from one of her walks and they had done nothing but step aside so she could get into her room. Not to mention Archangel had helped her out of the very building to see her lover That made things easier. Much easier. She didn’t have to creep like a mouse to avoid the eyes of any nurse.
And she was finding she could go a bit further each day by herself. It hurt but she didn’t have to stop so often to rest. Her endurance was returning. Perhaps soon she’d be able to leave entirely. She could go home and recover in a place with sunlight and color.
But today wasn’t that day, leaving her to wander Fate HQ wherever her feet may carry her. Picking a floor at random, the redhead traveled upwards to shuffle through the halls in careful but restless steps.

Roxy had been wandering and now was on her way back to her bed. She wasn’t sure if she had gotten stealthier or that the medical staff had just given up on keeping her down.
Probably the latter if she had to be honest.
Examining her phone for any stray pokemon before she had to head down into a place where a GPS signal was difficult to find, she turned only to be face with likely was the last person she wanted to see her.
The redhead squeaked, a shower of sparks lost in the bright lights of the hall, and then promptly flinched.
“Ow.”

Even with the news, seeing the Seance in the hallway was still a bit of a surprise. Almost as much as the fact Eneko got this far without feeling too much like his side would crumble on him. He decided to take a moment to lean against the wall... just in case.
"Uh... congrats on the job..." Hopefully Eneko's gut instincts were right in that he seemed least unlikely to rat him out.
