One Year of YouTube (with statistics!)
It's #backtothefutureday, which means I've been making YouTube videos for exactly ONE YEAR. Whoa. It's been fun, but lets look at some stats
According to @YouTube analytics, I've collected 28,724 views in the last year, 575 likes, 41 dislikes, 229 comments and 213 subscribers.
My most watched video in the last year is a review of the Real @Ghostbusters Boogieman episode: https://t.co/a87Vca5QEH with 3,500 views.
My second most watched video is my FRANKLY AMAZING fan theory about why we don't have hoverboards: https://t.co/qlOP0CQf35 with 2,950 views
I've uploaded 41 videos this year, and have 'earned' $35 in revenue (not high enough to pay out). I have no idea if this is good or not.
Still, for one year of part-time YouTube fun, I can't complain! Hopefully I'll learn more, do more and earn more in the next 300+ days.

I spent a little more time working on the Adobe Character Animator puppet today -- adding custom mouth movements (that actually match the style a bit) and the ability to toggle eye and eyebrow movement. It’s not perfect (I’m not sure some of those lip flaps are quite right) but it’s pretty neat! I might use this in some of my future gaming videos, which have usually featured static drawings for the narrator instead of actual camera footage. That said, I think I have a long way to go with this puppet -- but it’s still pretty neat!
Messing around with Adobe Character Animator! After seeing it used on the Late Show, that live Simpsons thing and a few other projects, I’ve been wondering how it works.
So far, I’ll I’ve done is make a basic puppet head that can blink. The mouth animation looks really ugly because it’s the stock adobe mouth, but if I draw new mouths in a matching style, this could look pretty okay! Neat experiment, if nothing else!
Majestic matrimony (and sea creatures)
Wife: You called me a whale!
Me: A Narwhal! That's like the unicorn of the sea!
