@seasaltide
“You say you were the first? Before even Naruto?” Personally, Gaara found that hard to believe. Though, recent events had certainly broken any preconceived notion of the dead staying as such. “You must be quite the strong shinobi, if you were able to control the Nine-Tails as you say.”
“ So . . . in short, that’s all that’s happened since you’ve been gone, “ had he been awkward about this ? Maybe . . . but he tried his best to be as helpful as he could with her return. All he wanted to talk about though . . . was her fuinjutsu. “ Do you have any questions ? Insight ? Advice ? I’m all ears, “

CHARACTER SOLIDIFYING QUESTIONS!
19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?
THE VERY FIRST DISILLUSION KUSHINA SUFFERED was in her childhood. It was shocking to spend those brief years of her life without many worries, without facing reality and suddenly her child’s face is slapped with how cruel and merciless the world is. A family, a place to call home, after moving to Konoha to become the vessel for the nine-tails, she tried to grab those ideals with both her hands for many years, even if it seemed like water fading through her fingers.
The second one was exactly when she thought, happiness could be achieved but people she cherished and loved were killed once more, by the war. When Obito and Rin died, Kushina lost again, a small part of her heart.
Third and last disillusion was a bit before she was forced to say goodbye to her own child, that time she felt like a fool, a fool for thinking that she could have a happy life with a family. The only thing she take from this disillusion was strength to protect her child in her last moments and wish for him to have this happiness, that like a soap bubble, would burst everytime she attempted to touch.

ooc. I am preparing to graduate from university! I would like to work a bit after graduating, mostly as a translator for japanese video games if that would be possible. Then I’d like to get my masters degree, too.
