𝐡𝐞𝐫   𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠   𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥   𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐧’𝐭   𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲   𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝   𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧   ⸻   every   inhale   still   carried   the   faint   warmth   from   his   lips   that   felt   all   too   tempting   to   keep   on   kissing.   she   found   herself   rather   dumbfounded   to   be   in   the   situation   she   was   in   as   it   felt   like   it   had   just   been   yesterday   when she   had   her   first   face   to   face   encounter   with   him.   to   think   she   would   be   exchanging   secret   kisses   in   the   backroom   with   one   of   new   eridu’s   idols   was   baffling,   she   wouldn’t   have   believed   it   if   someone   went   back   to   the   past   to   reveal   the   future   for   her.   regardless,   she   wasn’t   complaining   whatsoever   as   evident   by   the   way   her   fingers   were   still   clutched   on   the   fabric   over   his   chest   like   they   had   no   idea   where   else   they   were   supposed   to   go.

𝐡𝐞𝐫   𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞   𝐰𝐚𝐬   𝐚   𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭,   𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐲   𝐦𝐢𝐱,   a   hand   reaching   up   to   brush   a   loose   strand   of   blue   hair   away   from   his   face   for   her   to   have   a   better   look   at   him.   tiny   blue   embers   flickered   across   her   implants   before   slowly   dimming   &   setting   back   into   their   usual   dormant   state   though   that   look   of   affection   blended   with   seductive   mischievousness   didn’t   dissipate.   because   of   course   belle   took   pride   in   being   the   apple   of   his   eye,   being   the   one   that   got   his   attention   amongst   the   sea   of   faces,   being   the   one   that   was   stolen   away   into   dark   corners   where   he   can   rightfully   claim   her   for   himself.

another   soft   giggle   from   her   as   she   pressed   herself   closer,   her   chest   against   his,   as   she   pecked   his   lips   a   couple   more   times   before   pulling   away   &   giving   him   a   teasing   boop   on   the   nose.

Dottore couldn't have asked for a better outcome. It is so rare that the participants in his experiments were so eager and willing to hand over the reigns to him, so to speak. No, often Dottore had to do much convincing of his patients, even if they would truly benefit from his experiments solving the woes of their mortal coils. No need to divulge how many participants lost themselves in the process.

The first dip of his quill into ink marked the beginning. He loves the feeling of dragging his quill across paper, recording all his findings. Research was truly the only thing worth living for in his book.
