OK SO my little sibs were watching Pokemon Sun and Moon today and it got me thinking about an old ghost pokemon concept I thought of last year that I never quite completed until today. So behold! My trio! Entry #1: Seaskull Type: steel / ghost Category: Navigation pokemon Evolution: Primary/Basic Evolves to: Navighast Abilities: Confusion, Tackle, Metal Sound, Iron Defense Pokédex Entry: Seaskulls are great sailing companions who can not only guide sailors home, but also away from danger and storms. Once they have a destination in mind, the compass needle on their faces points them down the quickest and safest route. Their shells are made form the hulls of broken dinghies or life rafts. They’re said to be the spirits of young faithful sailors who died at sea but became Pokémon through their desire to keep sailing and keep others from sharing in their fate. Entry #2: Navighast Type: steel / ghost Category: Wandering pokemon Evolution: Secondary Evolves from: Seaskull Evolves to: Shibraith Abilities: Metal Burst, Shadow Ball, Mega Punch, Nightshade Pokédex Entry: Navighasts are wandering Pokémon who are known to seek out and find people who’ve been shipwrecked or lost at sea. They try to help them either find their way home or find other sailors who could help them get back to the mainland. Navighasts come in two forms, Covered and Uncovered. There are many speculations as to why the two forms exist, but it can certainly be said that of the two, Navighast (Uncovered-form) is far more aggressive than it’s counterpart, Navighast (Covered-form). Entry #3: Shibraith Type: steel/ ghost Category: Navigation pokemon Evolution: Tertiary/Final Evolves from: Navighast Abilities: Safeguard, Hypnosis, Nightshade, Flash Canon, Rain Dance Pokédex Entry: Shibraith has a voice like a fog horn and is most often seen on foggy nights. Large but benign pokemon, Shibraith are often found guiding and protecting large colonies of Seaskulls and Navighasts. Supposedly, it guides the spirits of humans and Pokémon who’ve died at sea to the other side. Rumor has it that if you look directly into a Shibraith’s eye, you can see the path to the spirit world and if you look too long, you might find yourself wandering down that pathway yourself. However, on the flip side, angering Shibraiths can be very dangerous. Although they are natural peace keepers, many are cautioned to not upset the local Shibraiths since they have been known to cause powerful tempests that can last for weeks until the pokemon’s temper is appeased.
