Hello, Tumblr! We are here.
Who is we? We are Moss, a (mostly) online journal of the Northwest established in 2014 by Alex Davis-Lawrence and Connor Guy. Moss has published four online issues and one print compendium, and is dedicated to supporting the emerging, established, and experimental voices of the Northwest.
Me, I’m the new-ish manager of outreach for Moss. My name is Amy Wilson and I’m a poet originally from Oregon. (Being a poet is why I tell myself I can get away with constructions like “Who is we?”.)
Here on Tumblr, I hope to meet and talk with more of you out there who are from, living in, or connected to the Pacific Northwest -- and those of you who are simply interested in the vibrant, green, soft, and slightly springy literary culture of the region.
To start on a celebratory note, I’d like to introduce the first of what I hope will be many posts rounding up recent good news and announcements for PNW writers and organizations.
Looking forward to getting to know you,
Amy Wilson

Northwest super-star Carrie Brownstein -- of Sleater-Kinney, “Portlandia”, and “Transparent” -- is a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award for her memoir Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl, published by @riverheadbooks. Winners to be announced at a ceremony in New York City in June.
And lastly, if you have a literary-podcast-shaped hole in your current life, you may enjoy this wonderful ongoing collaboration between @literaryarts and Oregon Public Broadcasting: The Archive Project. Enjoy!
