Today I hitchhiked 6 miles (9.6 km) from North Seattle to the Seattle Center! It turned out I knew the driver! 🏁 . . I had dropped off my '76 BMW 2002 for repairs and was leaving just as Uber switched to "surge" mode. I knew Uber would be overpriced (and slow) during "rush hour," so I asked if anyone was heading south? ↙️ . . Moe, who owns @richs_custom_upholstery had a meeting coming up at the Seattle Center, and was kind to oblige. ☺️ . . We jumped into his convertible, enjoying a last hurrah of summer! 😎 . . When we arrived at the Center, I couldn't help but notice the newly renovated Space Needle a block away. It was inviting me to take its photo, so I did! . . Moe and I soon parted company. I then began a 2-mile (3.2 km) walk to our youngest son's apartment, where I waited for my husband to pick me up! 🚘 . . It was my longest walk since I had foot surgery in May, and I'm glad my foot (and I) survived. 👣 Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to pick up my car when it's ready 👨‍🔧 . .
