Mey Rin already with Sebastian Michaelis and together long enough that eventually when Agni tries to get a shot at the butler Mey Rin HAS to be the one to help him through it as he is revealed to be just as bumbling and flustered as she used to be.

Meanwhile Sebastian is 100% aware of all of this and is just like UwU and awaiting to see how well Mey can teach Agni how to court him.

It has been 140 days since the Kuroshitsuji hiatus was announced.

While sharing a bed with Agni and Sebastian, Mey Rin ended up stealing all the covers in her sleep. However, she looked so cute nestled in her blanket cocoon that neither the khansama nor the demon could find it in their heart to object. Since Sebastian's inner hellfire endows him with a higher body temperature than most humans, the loss was easily compensated for, and Agni had no trouble keeping warm.

Since you think Sebastian and Claude were together but aren't anymore like long time divorced, do you think Sebastian would ever open up that info to a lover like Agni or Mey Rin eventually? Or would that be hard even then? 😕

I headcanon that fanon Sebas struggles with emotional vulnerability even under the best of circumstances—and, for a disastrous entanglement like his presumed relationship with Claude, those painful feelings are triple-padlocked and suppressed 10 miles below-ground.

Mey and Agni glean bits and pieces of the story over time, however.

Nestling in the khansama’s arms one night, the demon sleepily murmurs, “I can’t remember the last time someone held me like this. Not since him…”

His only response to Agni’s curious gaze is a brief shake of the head before burying his face in his lover’s chest. The mortal gently strokes Sebastian’s hair and doesn’t press further.

“Why don’t you like spiders, you don’t?” the maid asks innocently when Sebastian vindictively crushes one against the heel of his hand, its remains smeared across his glove in a dark, mangled blot.

“Because they are treacherous, conniving, insatiably greedy creatures. I learned that the hard way,” he mutters, voice warping into a bitter growl as his eyes turn red.

Taken aback by her lover’s vehemence, Mey Rin blinks in confusion.

Sebastian forces his lips into a false smile, determined to allay her worries and convince himself that poison no longer festers in the scars Claude left behind (He fails. It does.).

Afterwards, the demon tosses his sullied glove in the rubbish, the warm tea-brown of his eyes still tainted with crimson. Mey never brings up spiders again.

But khansama and maid alike are understanding of Sebastian’s reticence. They know the hidden burdens that one may carry from a troubled past, and don’t pry into what is clearly a delicate subject.

I think it would take a drastic situation (such as Claude scuttling back into his life à la Season 2) for Sebastian to sit down with his partners and reveal the sordid history once shared with his toxic ex.

Yeah we love to see the humans making the demon butler soft and react in ways his very moral being shouldn’t.

But what about the butler succumbing them to sin and madness huh, what about Sebastian pushing meyrin to go unhinge, what about Sebastian encouraging Agni “trying and maybe slightly egging on” for him to go into his bad habits here and there. WHAT ABOUT HIS TOXIC ASS BEING EVIL FR FR.
